Yum! What is not to love about this (Recipe)
I decided to have a go at making Home Made Baked Beans as the boys love baked beans, who doesn’t hey? As we are still in the early stages of weaning the littlest one I was conscious of the salt/sugar content so I thought I’d give these ago. They are delicious! They take a bit of time to make, but the time is more about preparing in advance than actually spending along time preparing and cooking. You just need to remember to soak the beans over night so they are ready to cook the next day.
The rest of the cooking process is really easy and the end result is scrummy. I’ve found that trying to make these in our slow cooker hasn’t worked so well but I’m going to keep trying as I am sure they should work, may just need a bit longer.
This is definitely a good one for a cold autumn day, served on toast with loads of cheese or on a buttery jacket potato!
